Azi mi-a ajuns din intamplare la urechi piesa "Under the bridge" varianta All Saints (Lady Marmalade) si m-am mirat cat de caraghios suna in comparatie cu originalul. Ce e si ma ciudat e faptul ca atunci cand a fost lansat cover-ul (in 1997) eu nu ascultasem inca originalul si cand am auzit-o pt prima data cantata de cei de la Red Hot Chili Peppers (cateva luni mai tarziu), ei mi s-au parut cei caraghiosi.
Totusi... care credeti ca suna mai bine?

Ambele variante era complet necunoscute pana in ziua de azi. Totusi, All Saints ma cam lasa rece (cel putin din punct de vedere al cantatului).
Varianta Red Hot Chilli Peppers suna mult mai fain, chiar daca are un sound mai vechi si "mai sarac" in ceea ce priveste efectele speciale.
Pe principuiul "Am vazut, ne-a placut (sau nu), hai sa facem noi mai bine", iata inca un cover. De data asta chiar nu ma pot hotara care dintre variante e mai reusita.
Varianta lu Michael e clasica, suna bine, voce inconfundabila, dar chitara elecrtica a celor de la Alien Ant Farm da piesei un sound mai dur, mai in ton cu continutul.
